It was in 1988 that we first imported Transco Lacquers discs from the USA.

At that time it was felt that the vinyl record industry already in decline would eventually vanish. Nothing could have been further from the truth.

Today vinyl is still in demand and although the number of pressings has declined the last two years has seen an increase in mastering.

In 2003 the manufacturing plant in New Jersey was faced with a number of daunting challenges. Changes to the law relating to the use & storage of solvents and other compounds meant that Transco Inc had to curtail production, install a solvent recovery plant and make changes to the formulation in order to comply with new USA environmental laws and regulations.

Given the support of the industry both in the USA and Europe the decision to reinvest was never an issue and now we are delighted that after months of tests we now have a product that’s superior in every aspect with many users claiming the new Masterpiece Series being both quieter and brighter.
